James Joyce Jenkins

Once upon a time, there was a man. He lived a fairly normal life, went to school, got a job. Even had a small house in the suburbs. Then, one day, and like so many before him, he discovered that he had been betrayed. He discovered that his friends from school were not his friends. His family was not his family. He had been taken from his real family years ago, and placed with liars. Government agents, charged with raising him to become a government agent. His friends had been hired, bribed, and threatened into either associating with him or not. Of suggesting parties to go to, girls to date, classes to take, and extracurricular activities to participate in.

But as he finished school, he rejected calls from government recruiters. He had turned down positions at government agencies. And so, he learned later, the government gave up on him.

He started working at a small company, designing lighting fixtures. In his spare time, he followed his interests, interests that had been planted so long ago in school. Martial arts, rifle shooting, electrical engineering.

Then one day, as he was searching the internet for information on an election, he came across an article in a national newspaper. It detailed a government program that had been tested at about the time that he was born. It talked about the government's methods, and more importantly it revealed some of the individuals that were involved. It listed his father.

Three days later, he found more information. He had contacted the reporter, everyone he could think of. And he had found what had happened to him. And from that day forward he began a new life, and took on a new name. James Joyce Jenkins.
